Mission

 The purpose of this program is to help students with characteristics of ADHD learn how to navigate the college environment, improve communication skills, hone organization skills, and learn life skills that increase emotional agility necessary when dealing with college stress.  Find out what to expect at Orientation and what  you can do to prepare before your first day of classes. 

OBJECTIVES:

  • Students will learn how to manage the stress/anxiety associated with starting college
  • Students will learn mindfulness techniques and practice mind/body exercises to increase their emotional agility and reactivity.  
  • Students will learn how to identify and challenge limiting beliefs.  
  • Students will leave with a game plan for college success.  They learn how to utilize their strengths to remain positive when challenges arise.   
  • Students will navigate their college campus with awareness of how to find resources available to them.  
  • Student will learn how to breakdown a syllabus, best practices for developing study habits and create their unique tracking system.
  • Students will have the knowledge to create their own support system on campus and learn the questions to ask or information to take note of during New Student Orientation on their campuses.  

Who are your coaches?

Jennifer Litvak - ADHD Life Coach and College Student Development Specialist 

Shannon Brantley - ADHD Life &  Mindfulness Coach, College Academic Advisor, Faculty


Jennifer Litvak is a Certified ADHD trained Life Coach, has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership: Specializing in College Student Development and a Bachelor’s degree in both Theater and Recreation Management. She has worked in Higher Education: Student Affairs for over 20 years in the areas of Student Development, Campus Life, Commuter Services, Admissions, Greek Life, and Residence Life.  


Shannon Brantley is a Certified School Counselor, Certified Life Coach, Mindfulness Educator, and College Academic Advisor.  With over 10 years of experience in higher education, she has dedicated her career to supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals. 


ADHD Life Coach, Jennifer Litvak and Mindfulness Coach Shannon Brantley are teaming up to bring you an invaluable workshop for your college bound student.
